Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
QueuePass ("we", "us") is a digital token and virtual queue service. Businesses ("you", the shop) use it to manage their line, and their customers use it to get a token on their phone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
- Business owners and staff: name, email address, mobile number, city and country, business name and type, settings, and login details (handled by Google Firebase Authentication — we never see your password).
- Customers who take a token: the name they type, an optional mobile number, the service they choose, their token times, optional feedback, and — only if they allow it — a notification address so their phone can be alerted.
- Payments: the amount, plan length and the UPI transaction ID (UTR) you send us. We do not collect card or bank account numbers.
- Technical data: error reports (what went wrong, page, browser type), and a simple count of website visits per day. We do not use advertising trackers.
2. Why we use it
- To run the queue: show token numbers, estimate waiting times, call customers and send turn alerts.
- To manage your account, free trial, plan and receipts, and to contact you about your account.
- To fix problems and keep the service secure (for example, blocking misuse).
- To show the business owner simple reports about their own queue.
3. Who can see it
- A customer's name and phone number are visible only to that business's team and to the customer. Public screens (TV, "Now serving") show token numbers only.
- QueuePass support can access account data only to provide the service, to help you when you ask, or when required by law.
- Our service providers: Google Firebase (database and login), Vercel (website hosting) and Google (receipt emails). They process data on our behalf.
- We never sell personal data.
4. How long we keep it
Customer token details (names, phones, times) are kept for about 90 days so businesses can see recent history, then deleted; only daily totals (counts and averages) are kept for reports. Account and payment records are kept while the account is active and as long as required for accounting and tax purposes.
5. Your choices and rights
- Customers can cancel a token at any time. To have your details removed sooner, ask the business or contact us.
- Business owners can see and change their details in Settings, and can ask us to export or delete their account.
- Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw consent. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
6. Security
Data is stored with Google Firebase, protected by login and security rules that limit who can read what. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children
QueuePass is meant for businesses and their adult customers. A parent or guardian should take tokens for young children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell business owners in the app.
